On Saturday, July 23, 2022, Winifred “Wynne” T. Thillens, loving sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to all passed away at the age of 80.
Wynne was born on September 11, 1941, in Evanston, Illinois to John N. and Winifred C. Thillens. She retired from the Quaker Oats Company after a 20-year career. She had a great love for sports, reading, traveling and her immediate family. Wynne was known for her kind, compassionate and generous nature. She loved to talk. She loved to know every detail of every story. Her most important role in life was a caretaker. She was devoted to taking care of her mother, her brother, her sister, her niece and nephew-in-law and her most beloved great-niece.
Wynne is survived by her brother, John; sister, Melanie; her niece, Nikki Humphrey; nephew-in-law, Bob Humphrey; and her pride and joy, great-niece, Bella Humphrey.
Visitation Thursday, 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 11 a.m. at Haben Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. (CLICK ON WATCH LIVESTREAM BUTTON ON PREVIOUS PAGE). Interment All Saints Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Wynne. I wish I had heard sooner so I could have attended her service. I remember hiring Wynne at Quaker--she was a key leader in the transformation of he Market Research Coding Department into a full service in house Market Research "company". We had great times and a great team. Rest in Peace Wynne.

Wynne has always been there for her siblings, as well as others in their time of need, and after my parents passed away in the mid-80s, as well as the death of my sister, Noel
@61 yrs of age in 2004, my cousin, Wynne, was there to comfort me! And, ever since then, Wynne & I touched base frequently. She always did her best to bring extended Family members together, even the ones in Luxembourg, where our Paternal Grandparents were born & raised. Decades ago, Wynne was busy creating the THILLENS Family Tree, which included the Heiar (sp??)relatives! My cousin was a Human Treasure to those she loved most & those of us who loved her in return. My husband & I will miss our dearest cousin, who has joined her family members & friends, in Heaven to watch over all of us❣️
