William Blinn “Will” Hall, age 49, of Glencoe, beloved husband to Sarah and devoted father to Julia and Elizabeth, died unexpectedly on March 21, 2021, while playing basketball with friends.
Born in Montgomery, AL, Will spent his earliest years in Germany and England with his father, Les, an Air Force Officer who was awarded the Bronze Star, his mother Sallie, and his two brothers. The family eventually settled in Columbia, SC, where Will went on to study at the University of South Carolina, earning a B.A. in Theatre. During his final year of college, Will met the love of his life and wife of 20 years, Sarah, née Schnadig. He loved and nurtured Sarah, his adored wife and best friend, throughout their 25 years together.
Will and Sarah moved to Southern California to pursue their acting careers. It was in Los Angeles that they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Julia (2004), before relocating to Sarah’s hometown of Glencoe, IL, where daughter Elizabeth was born (2006). Will joined Bankers Life Insurance in 2012 where he thrived as a sales leader and manager; he was most recently General Manager of the Libertyville office.
Will was a singularly devoted father; an ever-present positive force in his daughters’ lives. He was actively involved in both their academic and athletic endeavors, most recently as they excelled on their volleyball teams. Will was the father that many wish for, but few are lucky enough to have.
Will was revered by his broad group of friends; they loved him for his warmth, sense of humor, authenticity, and uncanny ability to bring people together.
It is impossible to articulate the loss we all feel in Will’s absence.
Will was predeceased by his loving parents and his cherished mother-in-law, Frances Schnadig. He is survived by Sarah, Julia and Elizabeth, his brothers Les (Melissa) and Brad (Kelly), his brothers-in-law, David (Lori), Eric (Isabelle), and Ian (Jean) Schnadig, his many wonderful nieces and nephews, and his dedicated in-laws, Richard and Patricia Schnadig.
