Thomas J. Martini, age 81, of Skokie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 8, 2020.

Beloved husband of the late Penny, nee Sandfox; lifelong friend and loving companion of Gerry O’Connell; dear father of Jeffrey (Carol) Martini and Julie (Sean) Cummins; loving grandfather of Jeffrey Jr. (Kwin), Kimberly (Bryan) Foland, Brian (Rachel, fiancée), Danny, Shanon, and Shane; cherished great-grandfather of Brooks; fond brother of Sr. Mary Catherine, O.S.F., and the late William Martini.

Private Family Services will be held.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, 8116 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL, 60077, where Tom was a parishioner for 75 years.

Ronny and I are so sad to hear of Tom’s passing. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend. We have so many great memories of Tom! Watching baseball games while smoking a cigar on the deck, snow blowing Gerry’s driveway in the wee hours of the morning and his constant watering of the grass and moving the sprinkler around all day!
