Theodore P. “Ted” Milos, an entrepreneur, family man and loyal friend to many, died on January 3, 2023, in Highland Park. He was 73.

Son of the late Theodore P. and Kathleen, née Milligan, Milos, he was born December 16, 1949, in Chicago.

In 1972, Ted, a graduate of DePaul University, co-founded and led Metropolitan Limousine, Chicago’s pre-eminent chauffeured transportation service for over four decades, with partner, Tom Mulligan. He later co-founded Aegis Services, a leading international private security company, with partner, Ken Giannoules. A one-of-a-kind networker, Ted was uniquely gifted at connecting people to generate value.

Ted was a devoted Catholic and committed Knight of the Order of Malta. The Order of Malta is a 900-year old lay religious Order of the Catholic Church founded to care for the needs of others, especially the sick and the poor, through hands-on service regardless of their belief or life situation. Today it is worldwide and continues with the goal of striving for personal sanctification, searching for Christ in ourselves and in our neighbors.

He enjoyed eating and cooking good meals with family and friends, investing in real estate and restaurants, serving the community in humble and impactful ways, and spending time at the golf course.

Beloved husband of Veronica “Ronnie”; loving father of Teddy (Sarah) and Alexandra (fiancé, Bobby Navarre); cherished grandfather of Joseph Nicholas; dear brother of Sharon Milos Hogan and the late Terrance (Nancy) Milos; since high school, best friend and brother of Thomas Mulligan; fond uncle of Sean (Lauren) Hogan and great-uncle of Hallie Hogan.

Visitation, Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Funeral, Friday, January 13, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home, for Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash Ave., Chicago.

Interment private.
