Suzanne T. O’Callaghan

Suzanne T. O’Callaghan, née Tinney, age 75, born November 24, 1947, passed from this earth on December 17, 2022 in Naples, FL, at home with her family and under the care of her daughter, Meghan, for the last several months. She was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary Margaret, née Regan, Tinney.

Suzanne was foremost a wonderful companion and mentor in this journey through life, both for her husband, Joseph M. O’Callaghan, and their children. Suzanne and Joseph have been married 52 years and have six children, three of them living, Col. Joe Jr. (Sheila May), Meghan, and Colin (Margaret), and have three who have gone before them, Edward, Brighid, and Love. Suzanne is also survived by three grandchildren, Jacob and Nicholas (Joe Jr.) and Maeve (Colin).

Suzanne was dedicated to love and service to family and to a number of organizations. Among those organizations, Suzanne served as the president of the Joseph Sears School Parents Volunteers Association, the Loyola Academy Ramble fundraiser, and the Evanston Hospital Women’s Auxiliary Board, as well as chaired the original and subsequent fundraiser dinners for the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. In addition, Suzanne served as a board member of several other charitable organizations.

Visitation, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Funeral, Thursday, December 29, at 10:15 a.m., from the funeral home, for Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m., at St. Peter Church of Ss. Peter and Lambert Catholic Parish, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Interment, St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Skokie.
