Stephen A. Snakard, age 77, resident of Winnetka since 1971, died Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Evanston Hospital.
Son of the late Charles and Elizabeth, née Cambern, he was born September 29, 1945, in Chicago.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Denise, née Conaghan; dear father of Stephanie Snakard-Szady; cherished grandfather of Victoria, Alexandra, Sophia, and Olivia; loving brother of Sharon (Daniel) Moran; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dr. Michael Cambern.
He attended Loyola Academy, followed by the University of Arizona, and finished his education at John Marshall Law School. Upon graduation, he spent an illustrious 50-year career and dedication to the legal profession at the law firm of McCarthy Duffy Neidhart Snakard (now called McCarthy Duffy LLP), retiring at age 75.
Stephen had many passions outside of his family and profession, which included golf, restoration of a 1956 XK140 Jaguar, paddle tennis leagues, cigars, and much more, resulting in many wonderful memories, which he cherished over his lifetime.
Private services will be held at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, Skokie.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at Ss. Faith, Hope & Charity Catholic Church, Winnetka, where he was a longtime member.
