Sandra Gail “Sandy” Wills, née Krull, was born on June 2, 1949, to the late Henry and Hope, née Litwinchuk, Krull. She was the second-born of three sisters. Growing up in Des Plaines, Sandy attended Forest View High School and Northern Illinois University.

She was the loving mother of the late Darren Wills and the grandmother to three beloved granddaughters, Leanna Craft, Ashley Wills, and Brooke Wills. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Tan Lee, and her niece, Sarah, and her husband, Giovanni Luca Ciampaglia.

Sandy spent almost her entire career at United Airlines, where she made many lifelong friends and rose to become a systems architect. She was vivacious and fun-loving and spent many a night dancing up a storm at The Hop in Rosemont.

Her granddaughters were her pride and joy, and she gloried in giving them wonderful Christmases at her Des Plaines home. She loved baking and shopping and could turn any occasion into a party and any stranger into a friend.

Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses at Lutheran General Hospital and the caregivers and staff of Nazarethville.

Visitation, Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service, 2 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Interment, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Skokie.
