Ruth L. Bonifield, nee Wonders, age 81, of Kansas City, MO, died February 22, 2019. Ruth was born on January 15, 1938, in Reynolds, IN, to Jabez and Agnes, nee Firth, Wonders. Ruth was a lifelong member of The Salvation Army and served 43 years as a Salvation Army Officer. She retired with the rank Lt. Colonel. Ruth is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Bonifield, and her children, Renea (Paul) Smith, Robin (Ken) Shiels, Rhonda Bonifield, Robert (Ronda) Bonifield, and Randy (Wendy) Bonifield. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 2 p.m., at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 4301 Roosevelt Rd., Hillside, IL, 60162. Funeral information: 847.673.6111.
