Robert T. Grenda

Robert T. Grenda, age 89, of Morton Grove, died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Glenbrook Hospital, in Glenview.

Son of the late Joseph and Anna, née Puralewski, and step-son of the late Ben Miller, he was born July 8, 1932, in Chicago.

Veteran, U.S. Army, Korean War.

Beloved husband of Rosemary, née Mitchell; dear father of Joseph and Christopher; loving grandfather of Alexine (Matt) Batts and Sheridan Grenda; cherished great-grandfather of Adeline and Zander; fond brother of Jo Ann Lajewski; dear uncle of Camille and James McDavitt, Heather Lajewski, James and Sumer McDavitt, Jordan Zatz, and the late Fritz Lajewski.

No Visitation.

Family and friends will meet for Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Sts. Peter and Lambert Catholic Parish (St. Peter Church), 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Entombment, All Saints Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38101 (stjude.org) or Masses are preferred.
