My sincere condolences to Marian and her family. I enjoyed working with her to promote Evanston events and organizations.Marian and I were both caring for beloved husbands named Bob for many years, which was quite a coincidence. We focused on their strengths and loving personalities.

I was going through my email messages and found this announcement of Bob's obituary. With my greatest and deepest sadness to receive the news of Bob's death, and to the family he leaves to mourn his passing my prayers are with them. Bob's passing leaves a large void in this community that can not be replaced. With his wonderful smile and disposition, he never complained as he was always willing to assist in anyway he could. He will truly be missed. I will not say good-by, but just this "We'll meet again one day in our Heavenly Homes". Sleep for now my friend!!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Bob was a friend who always had a smile and an infectious, positive attitude toward life. His love for sports was evident as well as his dedication to help the disabled through Shore Community Services in Skokie. We had many fun times with Bob and Marian in their home and at local benefits, sharing journalism and public relations stories and just enjoying their company. We will miss Bob and send our most sincere wishes for comfort and peace to Marian.

Condolences to the Kurtz family and especially to Marian! I first met Bob at the Evanston Community Foundation when I first moved to Evanston. I also would see he and Marian at the Alice Millar Chapel on Northwestern’s campus. They were faithful in their attendance and it was due to the strength of Marian being able to get him there. May he Rest In Peace, and May his memory be a blessing!

Kyle, Kelly, Chris and family - very sorry to read about your dad. It's funny how even 40+ years later, you can still remember and have vivid memories of teammate's parents, even if you really never knew them well outside of high school and club soccer games. In the case of your dad, he was one of those dads that you could just tell took such pride in his kids. Keep the memories of your dad alive in your heart.
