Prabjot Kaur Soin

Glenview, IL – Mrs. Prabjot Kaur Soin (affectionately known as Jyoti), age 75 – fashion-forward, basketball-loving and service-oriented wife of Jagmeet and mother of four children – peacefully transitioned on Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021 at her home in Glenview, IL surrounded by her family.

Jyoti was a devout member of the Sikh faith and always believed in the virtue of seva (service).

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. Jagmeet S. Soin, her children, Umang K. Singh (Dr. Inder Paul Singh), Harmeet S. Soin (Sonal V. Sharma), Dr. Harkirat S. Soin (Harpreet K. Soin), Manmeet S. Soin (Dr. Madhu Verma Soin) and her 7 grandchildren: Niki, Nishan, Nina, Eshaan, Kimaya, Karina, and Veer.

Jyoti is also survived by her beloved sister Harjot (Dr. Ranjit S. Rajpal) and brothers Dr. Malvinder, Rajinderpal, and Amarjit S. Maini, her sisters-in-law Dr. Rani Daman and Dr. Raman Sodhi, their spouses, Mrs. Mitsu Soin, and her brother-in-law Dr. Kulmeet S. Soin (Harpreet Soin), along with many nieces and nephews around the globe.

Mrs. Soin was predeceased by her father Dr. Jaswant S. Maini, mother Ishar K. Marwah, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation and Funeral Service, Friday, March 5, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL, 60077, followed by a Religious Service, at 2 p.m., at the Sikh Religious Society of Chicago, 1280 W. Winnetka St., Palatine, IL, 60067.

Please note that the services are being held in a pandemic-friendly manner, in compliance with the State of Illinois-mandated in-person limit of 50 guests.
