Pauline Rose Weber, a remarkable 98-year-old from Morton Grove, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022, in the comfort of her home in Humble, TX.
Born to the late Saul and Rosie Ross on February 16, 1924, in Henderson, TN, Pauline was the loving wife of the late Bernard Weber and a devoted mother to Kathy Pedersen and the late Bernard (Skip) Weber. Her affection extended to her cherished grandchildren, Jenny Rogers, Erik Pedersen, Rebecca Weber, and Emily Leinauer, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Jensen Jonathan Rogers, Lillian Margaret Leinauer, and Lynnette Rose Leinauer.
Known for her selflessness, love, and strong work ethic, Pauline was a master storyteller with an uncanny ability to recall every detail as if it had just occurred. She thoroughly enjoyed engaging an audience with her tales and could converse for hours. She could fix anything, whether it be a shirt that needed mending or a heart that needed consoling. Pauline’s caring nature shone through in all aspects of her life. Her warm presence and boundless love made everyone feel at home.
An enthusiastic gardener and esteemed member of the Skokie Garden Club for many years, Pauline’s beautiful garden at 5410 Monroe showcased her passion. Pauline also had a fulfilling career as a lab technician at G.D. Searle, which she left to care for her ailing husband, Bernie. After Bernie’s passing, Pauline became a dedicated Minister of Care for St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where she brought the parish’s compassion, prayers, and communion to the sick and homebound, ensuring they remained connected to their spiritual community.
Pauline’s lasting legacy will continue to live on through those who loved her.
