Paul W. Jacobs, D.D.S., age 95, of Wilmette, died Friday, May 19, 2023, in Wheeling.

Son of the late Abraham and Sholem, née Isaac-Merza, Jacobs, he was born December 6, 1927, in Chicago.

A Korean War Veteran, Paul served in the U.S. Air Force in Okinawa and Guam in the mid-1950s. He was a war history buff. Taking the Honor Flight in September, 2018, was one of the best days of his life. A sports fanatic, he loved to play golf. Anything he could get on television, he would watch. Paul enjoyed going to all the dental meetings around the country. He retired from dentistry at the age of 90, after 60-plus years in practice. Paul was a very spiritual man. This was his main focus in life.

Beloved husband of Sheila, née O’Connor; dear father of Michael (Sue) and Mark, D.D.S. (Donna) Jacobs, Phil (Dolly) and Jay (Michelle) Bodenshok, and Liz (Scott Ohrich) Repking; loving grandfather of Jonathan, Jennifer, Daniel, Joshua (Katie), Beth (Ryan), Natalie, Lexi, Carly (Stefan), Eric (Natasha), Steve, Emily (Christian), Arthur (Emily), and the late Andrew; cherished great-grandfather of Mark, Bobby, Peter, David, Bear, Birdie, Johannah, Caleb, Luna, Hendrix, and Daphne; fond brother of the late Eleanor, the late David (the late Marge), and the late Donald Jacobs.

Visitation, Friday, May 26, 2023, from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 11 a.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Interment, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Skokie.
