I was terribly sorry to hear of Pats death. I remember him as mature college student. He was calm thoughtful and had really good judgement. I while I have not seen him since college I have thought of him often.
My sincere condolences to his family!

Scanlan Family, My deepest condolences on Pat's passing. Pat was a perfect fit as a supervisor in 018. He was well respected and always looked out for his guys. Always a quick smile and cheerful greeting. He will be missed.
My favorite memory of Pat...Many years ago, Dad, Pat (my brother), and Pat were arriving home at Pat Scanlan's house. As we approached the house, Lil' Pat, Brenna, and Kevin raced down the sidewalk to greet their dad. The happiness in their faces as they yelled for their dad was only exceeded by the pride that showed on his face. Of course the kids are much older now, but that day, that experience, is still an emotional one for me to this day.You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be forgotten.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Devastated, honored to have been a friend with Pat and his family. Will treasure the time spent together and I will keep them in my prayers forever.
Kathy, I hope that you and your kids in particular can bear up under this very sore loss. I spoke with several other attendees at this morning's funeral mass at St. Peter's, and it's clear that Pat was held across the board in great esteem and affection - and justly so. I came to greatly admire him at the USO and how he treated each of our visitors with such courtesy, respect, and clear desire to be of any helpful assistance - while always displaying his trademark Irish sense of humor. While it's been said that none of us is irreplaceable, there are certain very special people who are indeed so very hard to replace; Pat is definitely in that blessed category. I'm honored to have had the great experience of working with him and you for so long in Terminal 2, and keenly feel the loss of that friendship and camaraderie. - Tom Rowan
Our deepest condolences to Kathy, Noreen, Tim, and the entire Family. Pat was one of the most stand up guys we have ever known, and his parties at his Family's House in High School were legendary. He has left a great legacy behind, and his children and grandchildren can be proud of the wonderful Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather that he was.
My deepest condolences on your family's loss. Pat's spirit will remain in your hearts, memories and stories.
Pat will live forever in my heart, but I will truly miss his wit, the twinkle in his eyes when he expressed his opinion or told a story, and above all his reassuring voice. He was my friend. My heart breaks for our great loss. Kathy

Kathy and family; Pat will always be remembered as a good, honest, decent man who worked hard, married his soul mate, raised four great children, and dedicated his life to Respect, Honor, and the Values of this Great Country. He will also be remembered by me for all the help he provided in our years together at CPD. Kathy and all, I’m sorry beyond words. You were all dealt a terrible, uncertain hand when your Pat got sick, and you all met every daily challenge with abiding love and with selfless courage...just as he would’ve done for you. You served him well. May this exceptional man know God’s peace now, far beyond the messiness and unfairness that is so often part of our world. His memory is a great blessing.
