It is with unbelievable grief that we regret to announce the death of Olatunde Olusola Folami at the age of 46. The date of his untimely death was May 19, 2020. A son, a brother, and a nephew, gone too soon!
Olatunde was born in Chicago, IL, to parents, James Olawale Folami and Omoyemi Patience Samuel. He attended high school in Nigeria and junior college at Harry S. Truman College in Chicago. At the time of his death, he worked at Digby’s Detective Agency, in their security department.
Olatunde was the oldest of four siblings. He was quiet but definitely loved and was loved by his family. He cared deeply for his parents and siblings by constantly checking in on them and worrying about their well-being. He loved calculus and practiced it almost daily. Some of his musical interests included: The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix. Olatunde even purchased a guitar to practice with and maybe put a song together. He had dreams and aspirations of entering politics in Nigeria, but alas, those dreams would not be realized. He made his siblings laugh often and had the greatest laugh ever.
Olatunde is survived by his parents, James & Omoyemi, and his siblings, Monie, Dipo, and Kunle Folami.
He was laid to rest on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 1:30 p.m., at Montrose Cemetery, 5400 N. Pulaski Rd., Chicago.
