Noah was an artist and a storyteller.
Born in Evanston, he attended Evanston Township High School, and graduated from Minnesota College of Art and Design with a degree in Animation.
From the beginning, Noah was a maker. He found joy in hand-crafting meticulous cosplay costumes. They were gorgeous. He spread joy with his expertly curated music playlists, turning every road trip west or night walk into a cinematic masterpiece. He made (un)arguably the best bowl of chili you’ve ever had, his palate was impeccable and he was a master cook of all meats. He was a treasured DnD Dungeon Master. He adored good stories–hearing them and telling them. From video games like Fallout New Vegas, to the epic expanse of Lord of the Rings, to the fantasy of Harry Potter, he found so much happiness in exploring worlds full of amazing things. And it inspired him to bring his own work to life.
The art he made had a tremendous impact on everyone who saw it. His greatest motivation was a letter from John Clark Matthews–animator of numerous great works including Frog and Toad Are Friends, telling Noah, “the world needs your work.” It did, and it does. Noah loved to make people laugh and committed fully to pulling off elaborate pranks and jokes. His trademark wild lion’s mane of hair swelled out from the beanies he liked to wear, curling down on his shoulders and catching the breeze on the long walks he loved to take. He had a vision for every person in his life: the perfect role, the part that would make them shine—and he was so proud of everyone who joined him. He was fiercely loyal and generous. He loved, and he loved hard. His friends, his family, his little desert rat–a degu named Djingo Django, and his beautiful dog Pippa. When he cared about something or someone he would give it or them his all. He had such magnificent ideas. Comics, movies, and stories – he built whole worlds, carrying them out with meticulous detail. He is our darling, a mountain of a spirit.
Noah William Rogers passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022.
Noah was the beloved son of Todd Loren Rogers and Monica Kass Rogers, brother to Emily Ariel Rogers, Ethan Isaac Rogers and Charlie Frederick Rogers, grandson of Robert Kass and Grace Frederick Kass, Ronald Raymond Rogers and Joyce Ayanoglou, and was loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
At this time, memorial contributions can be made to designate a bench where friends and family can visit Noah. We are also encouraging donations to Hope For The Day, an organization that empowers conversation around mental health through music, art, youth development, and education. In addition, they have a coffee shop in Logan Square.
We will also be hosting a Celebration of Life for Noah. More details forthcoming.

During one library unit Mrs. DeWit asked a few Jr Highers to read their favorite children's books and with Noah, it wasn't just a "read".
