My condolences to Nick's family and legions of friends, followers and fans. I first met Nick in an elevator at 222 South Michigan Avenue...a very happy and friendly elevator due to the presence of a fella with a flare of hair and an impish grin. Wow! He will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to be touched by his humor, humanity and genius!

Joy. That's the word that comes to mind when I think of Nick. From the playfulness of his art to his smile that could light up a room, he embodied joy.Nick was like an uncle to me. In my troubled teen years he was one of the few adults I could relate to. He also turned me on to a lot of great art and music Salvador Dali, Elvis Costello and The Specials. At the time I didn't get his obsession with Muhammad Ali but as an adult I finally do.He was a great light. His light lives on in his art, his kids, his grandkids and all of us who were touched by his brilliant and irrepressible spirit. To all of you his mourn his loss, I'm sending love your way.

Dearest Luzietti family, Please know how much we all loved Nick and his beautiful spirit is dearly missed at the Irving Park YMCA. He is the rare person who you are always really happy to see, just because he was always singing and smiling. He could change the energy of the room just by showing up! He is a treasure to humanity and I will work on aspiring to be more like him. We are all blessed to have had the privilege of knowing him. God Bless you during this difficult time. All my love, Cathy Karnuth

I knew of Nick long before I knew him. Stories of his jumping up on a table in his gold lame jacket during client presentations were the stuff of legends. He was equal parts court jester, business acumen, artist and whirling dervish. It was a privilege to be in his orbit and fascinating to talk with him. Adios, trickster! See you on the other side someday.

I am so very sorry to hear of Nick’s passing as it is way to early for such a thing & my condolences go out to his family which I know was the most important thing to him…He was an amazing individual, mentor & friend who’s creativity & passion for art & design seemed limitless & I feel blessed to have known him & work along side of him for many years. He was a truly magnetic individual & a champion of pushing boundaries & perceptions & I will always carry that inspiration with me… Thank you Nick!A truly brilliant star has now been extinguished but his light & memory continues to burn brightly in all that we’re lucky enough to know & work with him which will thankfully continue to make his imprint on the world flourish deeply into the future.

Nick was always super encouraging whenever we ran into each other at Neo nightclub and as an artist I can't express how important support is for any community. He was always positive, dressed to the nines, and his style made him stand out. I never felt bad about having unruly hair when he was around! I am sorry for your loss, friends and family. He was a great, kind, loving and unique person and will be missed.

My condolences to Nick’s family.. The closest of cousins (his mom was my dad’s sister and his dad was my mom’s brother ) ..after high school we didn’t have many opportunities to get together to my great regret, but in 2018 my wife and grandson an I did visit Nick at his home. We saw a truly happy soul doing what he loved ..making pizza and making us laugh just so he could laugh with us…his distinct luzietti voice will forever ring in my ears.. miss you Nicky!

My deepest condolences to the family of sweet Nick. I work at the Y where he came nearly everyday shamelessly singing a song. All YMCA staff and members loved Nick and he will be missed very much. I hope Nick's legacy of bringing joy and impacting everyone with positivity brings a sense of peace during this hard time. 💗

Nick interviewed me many years ago for a position at VOA. A 15 min meeting turned into a 2 hr conversation at the end of which he put his arm around my shoulder and said: “come work with us, we are nice people”. He was right! He expanded his aura to everyone. Within the large embrace of his personality he brought out the good and the best from everyone. I thanked him many times for taking me in… he opened so many doors for me. What a gift to have met him! My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Sorry for your loss. I went to grade school with Nicky at St. Ann's in Groesbeck. I was so happy to have a fellow Italian in my class. I remember he was always smiling and seemed so happy. RIP Nicky

I knew Nick from 2nd grade at St Ann's in Groesbeck Ohio. In fact I had a crush on him in elementary school. He said that my Dad who was a professional artist inspired him to go into his field and kindled his love of art. I followed his drawings on Facebook through the years but lost track of him after high school. I was shocked to learn of his passing.... he seemed so vibrant ! I would love to reconnect with one of his children and find out more about him and his journey through life.

Nick was a genius....with all that comes with that. A loving, talented, thoughtful, memorable, "I want-to-be-around-this-guy" , eccentric "character" in the true sense. His spirit was indomitable. He will be missed....but the stories and remembrances of our unique friend will be told and shared for years to come.

A legend and an inspiration. I will miss his giggle, his spirit of part mischief and part passion and his love of Italian meals (pizza). I’m so glad I knew him and he has influenced my life in more ways he’ll ever know. Angel Nick may you still be causing mischief and giggles dancing in heaven.
