We are very sorry to learn of Richard's passing! He was always a fun guy to hang out with in our teenage years. His love for music was very evident. He sat behind me in band, playing the bass clarinet. We had a 4-H quarter and he was the favorite tenor! Many fond memories of times in our MYF. Blessings to the family!! Priscilla Boschmann
Marlene Loucks Vargas left a message on April 13, 2020:
Words can not express my sorrow at Richard's succumbing to Covid-19 virus. My condolences go to Joan, his wife and all members of the Baker, Lane and Karra families. I have many happy years of memories with him since I grew up with him in Protection, Kansas and many meals together when we both discovered our lives ended up in Chicago. The first meal was Pizza! He treated my husband Luis, my son Tony and me. When he married Joan, we gave top approval! May he rest in peace in God's heaven. Sincerely, Marlene Loucks Vargas
