Michael F. Pfammatter, age 64, passed away on June 18, 2019, in his home in Lake Geneva, WI. He was born on July 13, 1954, in Evanston, IL, to Fredrick and Marilyn, nee Stair, Pfammatter. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Jo, nee Calderone, in Skokie, IL, on January 12, 1974. He was the owner-operator of Waukegan Service Center, an automotive repair center, in Glenview, IL, for over 30 years. The loss of Mike is sorely felt by the many family members, friends, and colleagues who knew and loved him. Beloved husband of Mary Jo, nee Calderone; loving father of Michael (Angela), Anthony (Marilee), Jesse (Rachel), and Angela; devoted son of Marilyn and the late Fredrick; dear grandfather of Camille and Josephine; fond brother of Fred Jr. (Loretto) and the late Victor (Shari). Visitation, Friday, June 21, 2019, from 9 a.m. until time of Prayers, 10:45 a.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL, followed by Funeral Mass, 11 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Mary Jo and children, I am so sorry for your loss! He was a great husband and father and will be missed be all.

I only had the pleasure of working with Mike over the last three months, but WOW, did he make an impact. I can sincerely say - he was one of the sweetest guys I have ever met. Whether over the phone or in person, he always had the most cheerful personality. My heart breaks for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, co-worker and friend to so many. He will always be missed, but memorialized in such a grand way through everyone's memories.

Adam and I are very sad to learn of Mike's death. Anthony was a classmate of our Emilie (I think) at St. Mary's in Lake Forest. We have very fond memories of you, Mary Jo, and of your family. Waukegan Service Center was one of our favorite customers to work with and Mike and his team always had positive comment. Mike would stop in the store from time to time to say "just checking to see if you guys are working". That was always great to hear from such a nice guy, take care..
