Michael Aaron Rampey, 39, of Evanston, Illinois, died on May 11, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. He was born on August 12, 1980 in Bloomington, Illinois to Mark and Jan (Ekstrand) Rampey. He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1999, and then Illinois Wesleyan University in 2003. He was employed by Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director.
He married Tiffany (Robinson) Rampey on June 17, 2006. They are the parents of Paige Robinson Rampey (7) and August Michael Rampey (5).
He loved God and was a member of The Evanston Vineyard Church. As part of the worship team, he regularly used his gift of music, often along with his wife, Tiffany.
Michael was a devoted husband and father who lived life with a passion for everything he did. Music was so important to him, and through the years, he enjoyed the time he spent playing in bands, starting in high school. Another of his great loves was soccer, which he played through college as captain; he continued playing throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Tiffany and their children; parents, Mark and Jan; brothers Chad (Sarah) and Tyler (Laura Czopek); nephew, Graham (Chad); Tiffany’s parents, Jeff and Beverly Robinson; brothers-in-law Brian (Claudia) Robinson, Brad (Ilissa Marsden) Robinson; nephews Jaden, Jack, Evan (Brian) and Wynn (Brad); grandfather Dean (Jerry) Kimzey, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He will be missed greatly by all his family and countless friends.
Michael will be remembered in a private family service on Friday, May 15, 2020 followed by a time to celebrate with extended family and friends at a later date.
