Maureen Renee MacLennan

Maureen Renee MacLennan, aged 45, left our world on March 24, 2021. She was born on March 11, 1976, in Chicago. She graduated from St. Scholastica Academy in 1994 and went on to study percussion at Eastern Illinois University and the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Glenview, IL, where she learned to fly a glider and single-engine plane. Maureen loved to travel and participate in musical events as she aspired to a career as a singer-song writer. She always looked forward to visiting family and friends. She is survived by her parents, John and Bette MacLennan; her brother, David; two nephews and a niece; her uncle, Freddie, and other uncles and aunts. She also had two, beloved canine companions, Quebi and Beebi. Her family treasures the memory of her spirit, sense of adventure, and her generous creativity. Interment of ashes will be in the Memorial Garden at the First United Methodist Church of Evanston, in a private ceremony. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date this summer.
