Mary Pat Morrow, age 68, of Evanston, IL, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020, at 9:53p.m., on what would have been brother-in-law Matt’s 95th birthday. Mary was born at West Suburban Hospital, in Oak Park, and raised in Resurrection Parish, in Chicago. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James and Della, nee Marren, Morrow, immigrants from County Cavan and County Mayo in Ireland, and deceased sisters, Elizabeth (the late Matt) Olaska, Kay (Al) Conrad, and Theresa Ellis, who also died of lung cancer on October 13, 2020, in Ramona, CA. Brother John was with Theresa and her sons when she passed.
The youngest of nine children, Mary was the beloved and loving mother of Sean Long. She is also survived by siblings, Marge (Ronald) Busse, Robert, Jim (Patricia), John (Cathy), and Michael (Diane). She was the fond aunt of 27 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was always seen as the sweet little girl, with a deep faith, and love of family and friends, and a diehard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Mary always had a happy demeanor, loved visitors before the pandemic, and had a great sense of humor.
