Mary Lou Suzara, née Zambrano, age 81, of Morton Grove, died Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Glenview Terrace Nursing Center, Glenview.

Devoted daughter of the late Antolin and Pilar, née Borja, Zambrano, she was born December 26, 1941, in the Philippines.

Beloved wife of the late Fernando S., Jr.; dear mother of Fernando IV, Dr. Dennis, Marsha (Byrone) Suzara-Palacio, and Margo; loving grandmother of Kaden, Dillon, Gemma, Bryson, Synjin, Oryn and Amarah; fond sister of Mary Dette (Bernardo) Verdaguer, Rose Mary (the late Lito) Monta, Arthur (Mila) Zambrano, Agnes (Alex) Maramba, Hegel Zambrano, Ray (Thelma) Zambrano, Manuel (Edel) Zambrano, Hilda Pasia, and Leo (Marites) Zambrano.

Visitation, Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 3 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Family & friends to meet for Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m., at St. Peter Church of Ss. Peter & Lambert Catholic Parish, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Mary Lou at Columbus Hospital many years ago besides being good friends outside of work. Mary Lou was always very devoted in whatever task she engaged to complete. My two oldest children loved having her care for them at different times. Her love and kindness will be missed by many!
