Mary Kolber, age 82, of Skokie, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her residence.
Loving mother of Steven and David (Maureen Burns) Kolber and Rebecca (Mike) Johnson; cherished grandmother of Allison Kolber and Sarah, Nathan, Leah, and Matt Johnson.
Mary was born on September 18, 1940, to Andrew and Mary, née Mikalasko, in Chicago.
She was strong, stubborn, funny, caring, amazingly talented in everything she did, and was loved fiercely by so many. She knew what she wanted, was always very direct in her opinions, and had beautiful handwriting.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Mary is survived by her sister, Nancy Kazek, and her brother, Robert Gont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kolber, and her brother, William Gont.
