James reid left a message on April 22, 2020:
I called her “Aunt Marlyn” — she was the sister of my brother-in-law’s mother, Lois Arndt, who lived near by. Ron was serving our country at the time in Vietnam. On numerous occasions, I would ride my bike over to Aunt Marlyn’s — never calling before, just arriving at her home. She ALWAYS had a welcoming smile and hug for me upon arrival (and usually a snack soon after). She comforted me, listened to me, offered me good advice when I would complain about being bullied, feeling sad, confused, etc. She will remain in my heart as one of the most loving and approachable people I was blessed to have in my life at a difficult time of my childhood. I am saddened by her loss and send my most sincere condolences to her family, friends and others who were fortunate to have had her in their lives. / James Reid. — brother of Natalie (“Tally”) Arndt.
