After 107 years and 5 months, Marie died peacefully at home on May 3, 2021. She was known for her cooking, sewing, devotion to her faith, and friendship to so many. She was married to her late husband, Raymond Kamps, for 62 years. They provided a wonderful home in Skokie for their daughters, Marcia (Steven) Stein and Janice (the late Robert) Greenwald. And she enjoyed grandchildren, Stephanie Ceruolo, Jonathan (Sherrie) Stein, Dana (Tim Walikis) MacDonald, and Ethan (Maria) Stein, plus great-grandsons, Nick and Sam Ceruolo and Ryan and Archer Stein. Memorial Service, Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 7870 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Thank you to NorthShore University HealthSystem Hospice and Freedom Home Care. Remember so many good times With Marie and Ray with my parents and grandparents

Janice, how blessed you are to have had your mother for so long. I know it has been a LONG time, but I remember meeting her when we were in grammar school. Condolences to you and your family.

What a wonderful life your mom had with a loving husband and two devoted daughters. Who could ask for more. I'm sure your dad greeted her and said, "Well, it's about time!" I have so many fond memories with your mom...our lunch together at her house, our going to a party and telling Marcia, "Don't wait up for us!", her bible reading at our bible studies, her laugh, her kindness to everyone in the congregation. Now when I use her milk glass serving pieces, I will always be reminded. All my love and comfort to you.

Dear Marcia and Janice, So Sorry to hear about your mother, but what a long time you had her. I always thought your mother and father were the nicest and most thoughtful people. We enjoyed so much being your neighbors . I still remember your dad jumping into the pool from the top of your garage. Your mom was a very special person. After 47 years living in Lincolnshire, my wife Pat and I are about to move into senior living in Libertyvile. Again, our condolences and best wishes. Bob Daily

Aunt Marie was a true blessing to me as to the world. I am so thankful God brought her into my life. She and her family are so loving and kind. Aunt Marie had such wisdom from the Lord and always showed her love for Jesus her Savior and also to others. Her quiet, kind soul is truly missed. I am glad she is with the Lord.

Janice, Marcia and family: We are so sorry for your loss. Sweet Marie always had kind words, her beautiful smile and warm hugs for everyone at church. We will miss her dearly at our annual Ladies Cookie Exchange that she always looked forward to! Well done, good and faithful servant! Until we meet again in heaven one day!

My deepest sympathy to Marie's family. She was a marvelous person. She always commented on how nice I dressed for church. I will miss her.
