Margaret Voit, nee Barry. Born Margaret Elizabeth Barry, in Bridgeport, CT, May 16, 1950. Died September 17, 2017, after a long battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her husband, Norbert; sons, Thomas and Patrick; and sister, Anne (Stan) Kennedy. She is also loved and remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and former students from around the world. Her spirit, kindness, and generosity is remembered by all who knew her. May she rest in peace. Margaret is the sister I never had. She was always there to listen, no matter what. She was intelligent, witty, wise, kind, and generous. There are no words that can even begin to express how much Margaret meant to me. Her spirit is deep in my heart. Margaret always welcomed me into her home, and I was always amazed to see who I would meet there. She had friends from throughout the world, and everyone considered her to be their best friend.
