My lolo mameng...how will I ever forget you, everytime you visits us in lipa for vacation we always had a small conversation about your plans if ever you win a lotto. We had a good laugh in every stories you shared in life. My childhood memories with you even in a short period of time is a great pleasure that I will treasured. I remembered once you said to me you wanna see me wearing white as an MD perhaps but I failed you instead of having Medical dr. in my last name it’s marriage degree, I know even in a different path I may be now, you are happy and proud of what I become. .I am greatful and blessed to have a Lolo like you, you always showed us your love and generosity. You will always be remembered my everdearest Lolo mameng. Be free from pain and loneliness. I love you lolo!

What's stuck in me about my Father I Law, Mamerto, is that he always have that quality to tackle even the most difficult challenge to accomplish the job he wanted to finish. He was a determined person and I admire him for that.

I remember when I was around five years old, Lolo knew very little English, but he learned enough to order a Happy Meal from the McDonald's drive thru just because he knew how happy they made me.Fast forward twenty our so years later and Lolo again showed he still enjoyed doing whatever he could to make his grandkids happy. We had just moved to Chicago and everyone was wondering where Lolo was because he had been gone for a really long time. When he finally came back he explained he had driven all the way to Argyle for Mang Thomas just because he saw we were eating a lot of lechon kawali.I would not be surprised when we eventually see each other again that he will be waiting with a Happy Meal for me and that big smile he always had when he saw any of us looking at him.
