Ly Manh Mo, nee Chung, passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2017 at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, IL at the age of 85. The Mo family, along with their extended families, are in mourning of the loss of their beloved sister, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Mo came to the U.S. with her five children in 1975 under the refugee program for Cambodia. She entered the work force at the Wilson Clinic in Chicago and was very generous and sympathetic to the needs of thousands of refugees from around the world. Mrs. Mo was one of the most respected women in the Vietnamese, Chinese and Cambodian communities in Chicago. City and community leaders have recognized her tireless work and involvement, as she was always compassionate in helping those in need. Visitation, Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, with the Buddhist Funeral Service Wednesday at 5 p.m. Cremation at the funeral home will be private.
