i just wanted to reach out to laurens mother and family to give my deepest condolences. My heart literally fell this morning when i heard the news and toldmy mother. my mom sandra mcneill worked with evelyn for years and ive known lauren for years because of that. Lauren and i first met through our moms at ring you kid to work day. We got back intouch in highschool where we would hang out together with mutual friends for years. She then dated a friend of mine brother for 5 years in north carolina. The last time i spoke with her was last year just to catch up. After 25 years of knowing each other, she was always a positive and heartwarming person with always a bubbly personality. i will truly miss her and my heart goes out to her family at this time.-shannon mcneill jankowski

Wegner Family,I can’t begin to fathom your pain. I remember when Darrell and I first moved into the neighborhood, and a cute little girl with big blue eyes and gorgeous curly hair would skip over and wander into the yard to show us her newest Barbie doll. I remember that same girl in her communion dress, at her 8th grade and high school graduation parties; always smiling , sweet, and so animated. In typical Lauren fashion, a few weeks ago I saw her coming home from an errand and she was showing me her latest nail fashion. She made a point of telling me that she didn’t think I aged. While I know this isn’t true, this was your Lauren, paying me a compliment and not making the conversation about her. The world is a little dimmer today without your bright light. Sweet, beautiful Lauren — fly high.
