Kirsten A. Doyle, nee Gieler, age 50, of Skokie, died January 30, 2021, at JourneyCare Hospice, Glenview.

Kirsten was Legal Counsel for the Chicago Transit Authority. She was born January 10, 1971, in Chicago.

Beloved wife of James; loving mother of Jimmy and Jeffrey Fraus, Lera and J.D. Doyle; fond princess of Charlie; dear daughter of Brian Geiler and Dee Dee (Gary) Secrest.

Public Visitation, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Interment will be private.

Sincere condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. I met Kirsten in WW and was immediately pulled by her bright positive personality and acceptance of everyone. She was a source of encouragement for many and I can only imagine what a wonderful wife and mother she was. May you hold tight to many happy memories and carry her in your hearts forever, wishing you strength at this time.

Heartbroken to hear of Kirsten’s death at such a young age. We were good friends with Brian and Dee when Kirsten bounced into all our lives. We followed her growing up as this happy, bright child who could do it all. Such fun watching her become an actor as she went through college, and she was GOOD! We could see so much of her mom in her acting and singing talent. And then Law School?? No problem! Know she was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of her two boys, and then to Jim’s kids. RIP

I am so saddened to learn of Kirsten’s passing. She was an honor to our profession and was great to work with -even as adversaries. I first met her at a deposition at the CTA: it was her first deposition since she had just been sworn in a few days before!! May she rest in peace.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Kristen was a bright light knew her weight watchers for many years she inspired me too keep going. I'm here to talk if you need an ear to bend. Prayers and hugs to her entire family.

Kirsten was such a good friend to me during my college years. She was in law school while I was doing my Bachelors- she was my mentor and I was envious of her confidence and intelligence. She supported me through hard times- we laughed together, cried together, shopped together, drank margaritas at Champs after work! We did life together for a long time. Jim, thank you for taking such good care of our friend. I’m so sorry for your loss- keeping you and the kids And her mom in our prayers. I run now- I’m team Kirsten all the way whenever you do the next run.

Kirsten was a Super Lawyer.She was defending her Dad up until 2 days before she passed away. Her real love was for the theater and she performed in many plays.She had real talent and she could sing too! I will miss her so much.God Bless you, Kirsten! Prayers for all the family.

Kirsten brought such a light to our WW meetings whenever she was a leader for our group meetings. She seemed to bring a joy with her no matter what. I, and I believe most of us in her WW meetings, had no idea of the battle Kirsten was actually fighting this whole time while she was still being so bright and joyous with us. I will miss her so very much.

Thinking of you all. Kirsten lit up the room, plain and simple. I never saw her and didn't have a laugh, which is saying a lot when you are marathon training! Of the large group of South Loop runners, you and she left an indelible mark in my memory. Sending you and your family and kids so much love.

I am heartbroken. Kirsten was my 5th grade student. She was lovable, quirky, smart, and adored. I introduced her to Weight Watchers when she was 10 years old, never imagining that it would become such an important part of her life. She was a strong woman who put up a valiant fight. I am blessed to have known her and been inspired by her....
