Karen V. Snow

Karen V. Snow, age 81, of Chicago, IL, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at Generations at Regency, in Niles, IL, after a long struggle with kidney disease.

Daughter of the late Charles E. and Lillian E., née Rund, Snow, she was born May 1, 1941, in New Britain, CT.

A 1959 graduate of New Britain High School, Karen moved to Chicago to pursue her teaching degree at North Park College, graduating in 1964. She finished her teaching career at Roy Elementary School, in Northlake, IL. She was a lifelong resident of the North Park community.

An avid paddler on Chicago’s waterways / rivers, Karen enjoyed camping and traveling around the world. She was a member of North Park Covenant Church and Ebenezer Lutheran Church, both in Chicago.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillian. She is survived by her sister, Merva Snow (the late George) Hand; three nephews; and six grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Memorial Service, Friday, February 24, 2023, at 3 p.m., at Ebenezer Lutheran Church 1650 W. Foster Av., Chicago.
