Juaniclande S. “Juani” Noel, age 23, of Skokie, formerly of Evanston, died unexpectedly Monday, May 30, 2022, at his residence. He was born June 26, 1998, in Haiti.

A graduate of Niles North High School, he was a member of the N.N.H.S. Band. He earned an Associate Degree from Oakton Community College.

He loved his family and friends, loved to cook, and never missed a party!

Beloved son of Marie Noel and Jean Noel and stepson of Andre Simon; dear brother of Jeff and Jonathan Noel and Andy Simon; cherished grandson of Milliosa Prosper; fond nephew of Yvon Tertulien; dear cousin of Gregory, Yvonson, Jordany, and Jennifer Tertulien; also survived by many more family members and friends in Haiti.

Visitation, Friday, June 10, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. [ Please Note Visitation Time Change. ]

Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1012 Lake St., Evanston.

Juani was my student in Physics at Niles North. I remember him to be a nice, polite young man. I was fortunate enough to meet him at the school one day, maybe three years ago, when he talked to me about his plans for the future. I was very excited for him. I'm so sad to hear of his passing. I wish his family peace and love in this difficult time.
