Met Mike when he was Skokie PD in March of 1968...My deepest condolences and highest respect for a dear friend who always took a moment or a phone call even from a naïf such as myself compared to him. Who always checked in on my beloved Mother at our 8640 Keeler Family House in Skokie, IL, when he went back. I'll always remember his advice at my darkest moments. May you have eternal peace and I'll always remember you [email protected]

So glad we kept in touch over 70 years. I have an old picture of us in Morton Grove wading in a galvanized tub when we were about 4 or 5 years old. Always proud of you as a policeman. It's traditional for the Irish and you looked good in the uniform. Will miss the annual Cubs tease. Cousin Bill Manahsn

I've loved Mike all my life, I always knew him as My Dad's Best Bud from Skokie PD. Oh my, was he funny and he knew "everything" about "everyone." He was the human form of the telegram...The Manegram! My best memories are when Mike and Ann came to visit us in Montana. Dad and Mike were true cowboys riding horses instead of chasing bad guys! My Dad also passed in 2012 and I'm sure they've already met up and had a beer....or two. He was just special and will be very missed.

Mike (Mikey) Manahan was the glue that kept the PD laughing. Not to long ago we where warned about being at Roll Call on time no matter what stage of dress we where in. Mikey showed up wearing his hat a tee shirt and the wildest pokadot shorts with no shoes or shocks. We all were told individually to shape up however Mikey passed inspection but put more polish on his toe nails! I'll always miss you my friend and Partner. You were the best!
