Son of the late Edwin and Phyllis, née Espovich, Hokin, he was born December 15, 1939, in Chicago.
Loving father of Bradley Jacob Ets (Jacquie Toia) Hokin, Jennifer Anne Ets Hokin (Jon) Agay, and Julie Loraine Ets Hokin (Jason) Watts; cherished grandfather of Noah and Ethan Agay, Andie Jane, Zachary William, and Emmie Loraine Watts, and Bernie Hokin; dear brother of Lynda Hokin O’Connor, Janey Hokin Morris, and Loraine Hokin Kaufman. Former husband of Linda Chesnut Hokin and Marcia Jane Hokin.
