Cherished son of Jorge and the late Amparo, née Pedraza, Silva, he was born July 3, 1957, in Mexico.

Beloved husband of Blanca; loving father of Jesse A. (Stephanie McCarthy), Jessica A. (Roger), and James A. (fiancée, Amanda); dear grandfather of Ruben Isaiah, Jose Alexander, Xavier Ramon, and Aubrey Ana; fond brother of Jose and Rose.

Visitation, Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

It’s so hard knowing I won’t be able to call or hear your voice. I believe wholeheartedly my brother was my hero at such a young age. Most don’t know he saved my life when I was a young child. Jesse reached out with his hand and held my hand when our house caught on fire he lead me to the window and pushed me to go first when the fireman reach for us. As children we laughed, cried and danced, shared many crazy stories. At a very young age Jesse loved eating his hotdog’s across the street from our house. We rode the Al train to school together. We listen to music while he helped me with my homework. My beloved brother I am heartbroken but happy you’re with our beloved mother. Your lil sis Rosie. My sincere condolences to my sister in law Blanca & family.
