Herschell Elmo Barrow, age 89, longtime resident of Mundelein, IL, and retired Airline Captain, who flew with Ozark Airlines and TWA, died Monday, January 23, 2023.
Son of the late Herschell Barrow, Sr., and Verna, née Hughes, Barrow, Elmo was born August 3, 1933, in Greenville, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, née Hall, Barrow, and his only son, Richard Barrow. He is survived by his three daughters, Wendy (Rob) Fairhurst, Christine (Glen) Reimers, and Patricia (Chester) Jones; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (Carolyn) Barrow.
Visitation, Monday, February 6, 2023, from 9 to 9:45 a.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL. Funeral Service, 10 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie, with entombment immediately following.
