Helen Mary Hyland, nee McCormack passed away peacefully in Chicago on September 30, 2020 at the age of 56. Beloved wife of Patrick; loving daughter of Kevin and the late Nancy, nee Moroney, McCormack, dear sister of Una (Mike) Boyd, brothers Aidan (Paula) McCormack and Sean (Julie) McCormack; cherished aunt of Lauren, Matthew, Ashley, Haley, Jack and Shannon; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Helen was born in Birmingham, England in 1964. Her parents originated from Ireland and immigrated to San Francisco in 1966. Helen was raised in the Sunset District of San Francisco. She graduated from St Gabriel’s Elementary School, Mercy High School and San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business. Helen started her career in Marketing in San Francisco then moved to Chicago in 1997 to start a new adventure, fell in love with Chicago and met the love of her life, Pat. Helen loved to travel, enjoyed spending time with her cherished friends and was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be dearly missed by all.

Family and friends will meet for a Graveside Service and Interment, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 10am, All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N. River Road, Des Plaines. I wish I was not writing this because that means Helen’s optimism and joy will no longer be gracing us. Just a fine, fine person. Unpretentious, genuine : we are better people for experiencing her approach to life. We keep her loved ones and her in our prayers.

Condolences to your family. Helen was an absolute joy to work with and professional in every sense of the word. She will be missed.

I will forever miss this beautiful soul. She was always a source of sunshine, happiness, and support all the time! Heaven just got a little brighter. Your friendship will never be forgotten. Love you Helen.

Please accept my most sincere condolences, to the entire McCormack and Hyland families. I met Helen through Starcom, where she is a trusted and very well liked teammate. She always knew the answer, had a smile on her face and never let the pressure of the pace shake her confidence. And really, she is just an incredibly lovely human who will be dearly missed by us all.

Helen worked for me over the last few years and was an amazing asset to our team, as well as an inspiration to many. I loved her cool California energy and steadfast composure. She will be missed but we are so lucky to have had her in our lives. She will always be in my heart.
