GEORGE H. DUSH, JR.

George H. Dush, Jr., died peacefully on June 11, 2018, at the age of 73, after a long battle with the effects of a stroke.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Dush; his daughter, Lisa Dush; his daughter-in-law, Lee Hart; his grandsons, Jesse Derrell and Louis Henry Dush-Hart; and his brother, Michael Dush.

George was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 15, 1944, to George H. Dush, Sr., and Alice Muleronka. He spent his boyhood in Windsor, CT, and Misquamicut, RI, where he enjoyed the close company of his mom and dad, brother Michael, grandmother Louise, aunt Florence, aunt Sophie, and uncle Felix.

George earned his bachelor’s from Providence College and his J.D. from Albany Law School. He practiced law in East Greenbush, NY, for nearly four decades. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his love, his humor, and his devotion to his friends and family.

George loved the outdoors, and enjoyed golf, skiing, and hiking. Above all else, he loved spending time at his summer cottage at Scorton Creek, on Cape Cod, where he would fish, putter around the cottage, chat with the neighbors, and walk on the beach.

The Dush family thanks the staff at Silverado Orchard Park in Morton Grove, IL, for the exceptional care and love that they shared with George during his last two years.
