A retired electrical engineer, he was born October 8, 1932, in Szeged, Hungary, to Janos and Margit, née Mixich, Banathy.
Beloved husband of the late Erika, née Hont; loving father of Andrew C. (Maureen Chudy) and Judith (Thomas) Flaherty; dear grandfather of Alexandra, Andrew J., and Adam Banathy and Kathryn and Ryan Flaherty.
