My condolences on the passing of Betty. My father Vincent Streff (1st cousin) asked about her often wanting to know if she was still living. He passed away as well on June 4th, and I thought about Betty and discovered she had just passed away recently as well. I saw the group photo from the 1934 wedding anniversary picture of her grandparents Paul & Celestine Streff. My dad is one of the young boys sitting on the floor at the bottom of the picture. May they both rest in peace and enjoy meeting up again!

Hello my dear cousins, I want to send my heartfelt condolences to all of you on the loss of your wonderful mother and my aunt. Aunt Betty was always such a calm , loving and caring person to anyone who came across her, which actually was often in her role at LA. After leaving the Deans office I often needed to see her warm and genuine smile and assurance that I will be ok :-). I am so blessed to have had her in my life and help guide me to who I am today, for that I am thankful to all of you for sharing this wonderful person with me and so many others!I will keep all of you in my prayers and ask for great strength, peace and happiness in all of your lives. With great love always,Tim McNulty

Mike McNulty LA class of '49 left a message on May 21, 2021:
When my 2 sons, Michael and Patrick, were late for school at Loyola, they had to check in with Betty, and they would try to schmooze her a little so they would not wind up in jug. They would always plead to "Aunt Betty" , and she often gave them a break, although we never did figure out a direct relationship. The late Tom McNulty, for whom I was a candle-bearer at his 8th grade graduation from Sacred Heart School (there was no Faith, Hope in those days) once speculated that his grandfather on the McNulty side was from Newport in County Mayo. I think my grandfather was also from there, so we figured if we could trace it far enough back, we must be related. Any way, Betty was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace

So sad to read this - Betty, a wonderful caring person. Molly, you may remember a Women's Club event at FHC in 1986 - I was new to the parish and had the good fortune to sit next to you and Mom! You both made me feel welcome. Friends, ever since. You all, and your wonderful Mother, are in our prayers. Dan and Mary
