I had the privilege of getting to know Elinor during her last year at Edison School. I had been teaching at St. Paul Lutheran in Skokie for three years, and moving into the public school sector was a new adventure for me. Elinor was always so kind and welcoming when I would come to her with questions. I remember her fondly, and will pray for your family at this difficult time.Sincerely, Kara Sand

Dear Conway, Liz, and family, I was so sorry to hear about Elinor's passing. Though I hadn't seen her in several years, we always talked about her when the "Maxwell Group" got together. I also heard about her from our mutual hair dresser. She was the most wonderful person. Time spent with her was always enlightening and fun. She will be greatly missed. Please accept my condolences.

It is with great sadness that we write this but we will always have so many smiles and wonderful memories in our hearts. Elinor was a terrific traveling buddy to us both. We think about the wonderful times we had together with Elinor and Conway in NYC, London, and the visit to our home in Baltimore, not to mention the numerous theatre productions and dinners together. Elinor and her grace and wit will be missed but certainly not forgotten. Much love to you, Conway, and to Liz and James. May your loving memories carry you through this time of sorrow.Hop and Douglas
