Eileen Mary Byrne, age 64, lifelong Edgebrook resident, died Friday, July 30, 2021, at Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago.

Graduate of St. Mary of the Woods School (1971); Regina Dominican High School (1975); University of Illinois Chicago; and Northeastern Illinois University. She was a 39-year Special Education Teacher with the Chicago Board of Education, where she worked as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerate Teacher.

Beloved daughter of the late Charles J. and Eileen M., nee O’Connell; loving sister of Charles (Nancy J.), John (Nancy A.), Thomas, and the late Isabella, Mary Eileen, and Frances Ann; dear aunt of Jennifer E. (Daniel Bland) and Ryan Byrne; cherished great-aunt of Isabella; fond cousin of many.

Visitation, Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 3 to 9 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Funeral, Friday, August 6, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home, for Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, 7001 N. Hiawatha Ave., Chicago.

Interment, St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Hartford, WI.
