Dr. Maya Bhagwan Shahani, age 82, of Chicago, died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. I have very fond memories of the Worli home where aunty Sarla looked after the whole family with so much love and affection. To this day I miss her and spend many of my waking hours on the Shahani swing.
I met aunty Maya in Worli during my early teens. I remember her as being an unassuming and loving person. Unfortunately I did not get to see her after that and have not had the opportunity to meet Bhagwan chacha and Robin for a long time. God give them strength to deal with their loss. Raju
