Dear Steve, Michael and Patricia.
Gerda and I were surprised and saddened upon hearing of your mother's passing. In these later years, we lost contact with Doris, but have a mountain of memories of our earlier years together. Immediately everything "Luxembourg" comes to mind, the Consulate, the LBA, the many, many events and of course our trips together overseas. As I spend time reflecting on my friendship with both Steve Sr and Doris, I am reminded that in no small way were your parents responsible for my office as Honorary Consul for Luxembourg in Florida today. Our mutual affection for the ancestry we shared grew to ultimate fruition during my lifetime with all of the Heinz family. The good times, the many consular balls, the laughter and hours we shared will never be forgotten. Your mother was the glue that often held together everything we were fortunate to share. May she be reunited with those who went to their reward before her and dance to her heart's desire once again.
