Doris E. Speidel, née Strutz, age 95, of Morton Grove, died Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Daughter of the late Edward and Edna, née Griephan, Strutz, she was born July 5, 1927, in Chicago.

Beloved wife of 61 years to the late George H.; dear mother of Cindy (Paul) Michel, Paul (Karen), and Mark; loving grandmother of Tracy (Luke) Holtan, Brian (Laura) Michel, Eric Michel, Katie (Luke) Merwin, Carly (Tom) Bochula, and Dan (Caroline) Speidel; cherished great-grandmother of Caroline Holtan, Brandon Michel, Katherine Holtan, Andrew Merwin, George Holtan, Lucy Merwin, Dawson Michel, and Ivy Bochula; fond sister of the late Robert Strutz.

Visitation, Monday, September 26, 2022, from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 7870 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Interment, St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Skokie.
