Donna Lauretig Robbins, age 74, passed away peacefully March 29, 2023, at her Evanston home after a three-year encounter with cancer.
Daughter of the late James and Charlotte, née Dybala, Lauretig, she was born July 13, 1948, in Chicago.
A graduate of Lourdes High School, Class of 1966, and Marymount College, Fordham University, Tarrytown, NY, Donna began her business career as a secretary for the Chicago Sun-Times advertising department and retired as a benefits accounts manager for a major financial firm in Massachusetts. She and her husband, Jim, lived and worked in New England for 40 years. In retirement, they chose to return to Chicago in 2011.
In addition to her husband of 48 years, Donna is also survived by her brother, Jim Lauretig, and wife, Toni; her sister-in-law, Chris Convery, and husband, Paul; nephew, Jim Convery, and family; niece, Bridget Convery; and, on her mother’s side, Uncle Rich Dybala and the many Dybala cousins.
Interment will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice, IL.
A private Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
