Daughter of the late Gustav Adolph and Ida, née Hummelbeck, Schwantje, she was born June 5, 1940, in Oldenburg, Germany.
Longtime member of the Niedersachen Club.
Beloved wife of the late Herman; loving sister of Henry (Victoria) Schwantje; dear cousin and partner of Hans Krumland; fond aunt of Eric (Suzanne) Schwantje and Kristin (Michael) Kinsella and their families; also survived by many other cousins and friends, here and in Germany.
Visitation, Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 2 to 6 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
