Carol A. Barrett, née Johnson, age 88, formerly of Skokie, died Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, in Park Ridge.
Daughter of the late Lloyd G. and Ida W., née Larsen, Johnson, she was born September 1, 1934, in Chicago.
Carol worked at Transilwrap Company, Inc., for 40 years. A volunteer at a food bank in Chicago for several years, she also loved to travel, play cards, and do word puzzles.
Beloved wife of the late Earl E.; loving sister of the late Dolores (the late Henry) Kelly, the late Richard Johnson, and the late Lois (the late Ralph) Kasten; dear aunt of Jill Kasten, Wendy (Philip) Bocock, Karen Kasten, Debra (Paul) Suriano, Kathleen E. (Allan Gatzke) Kelly, and Patrick Lloyd (Rosalind) Kelly; cherished great-aunt of Laura (Milton) Ochieng’, Rebecca Bocock, Steven (Denise) and Skye Kelly, Ma’lee and Madeleine Ochieng’, and Gabby, TJ, and Vanessa Kelly.
Memorial Gathering, Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of Memorial Service, 11:30 a.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Urn Interment, St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Skokie, immediately following.
