Carla Carlsen LaSalle, age 63, of Rogers Park in Chicago. Loving mother to Kari Kennedy, Elisabeth LaSalle, and Lauren Lindhorst; adoring grandmother to Elliott, Harrison, and Lennox Hudson; fond sister of Gregg and Anthony Carlsen; daughter of the late Earl and Mary Ann Carlsen.
Carla died peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer. She fought with incredible strength, optimism, and faith. She lived life ‘her way’ until the very end.
Carla loved her daughters and adored her grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. She had a great sense of humor and a love for life. She will be remembered most for her kindness, her compassion, and her generous spirit. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.
Visitation, Friday, May 17, 2019, from 3 to 9 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass, Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m., at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 1420 W. Granville Av., Chicago. Interment private.
